Movies

This page contains all the movies that I made. Clicking on the link will bring you to their page. Click on the "Go Back" button of your browser if you want to return to this page again.

Enjoy the movies!

Lomac Infamy (YouTube, FileFront)

My first movie I ever made using Lock-On.

Terror (YouTube, FileFront)

Another Lomac movie I made about a suicide attack and the ensuing retalliation.

Tank vs Helicopter (YouTube, FileFront)

This is a little movie that made, base on some tests I ran in Lomac for my future movie. It appears that tanks are not that defenseless against helicopters.

World Aflame (YouTube, FileFront)

Anzac Episode 1
(YouTube, FileFront)

When I got tired from writing AAR, I decided to try something new: AAR - movies. In the end the proved to be more time consuming then regular AAR's, but like this movie and the other examples show below, it is possible to tell a good story using movies.

Anzac Episode 2 (YouTube, FileFront)

Anzac Episode 3 (Online, FileFront)

Anzac Episode 4 (YouTube, FileFront)

F-16XL (YouTube, FileFront)

When I moved aqay from Il-2 AAR writing and discovered the Thirdwire sim, I tried to make this little movie. Unfortunetaly the TW sims are not so forthcoming to moviemaking, but with some little effort, you can still create a good movie.

WOE:BC F-16C (YouTube, FileFront)

As I started working on my WOE campaign, I needed some visibility towards the community and a short movie highlighting one of the aircraft is a usefull marketing tool.

WOE:BC Trailer (YouTube, FileFront)

With the release of my campaign WOE:BC Berlin Crisis, I needed a little trailer: The Saints are comming.

Carrier Trials (ThisBlog, YouTube, FileFront)

A showcase movie to display carriers in Thirdwire Sims.

Brains (YouTube, FileFront)

A short movie I made for the FACTS fair in Ghent.

In the Air Tonight (YouTube, FileFront)

A video-clip I made using the computer game The Movies

Lomac - Terror

I finally finished an old movie that was still lingering on my hard drive: Lomac - Terror. This will be my last Lomac movie. I am preparing an Il-2 movie for which my computer is more suited. Lomac is too heavy for my rig, you will notice some freezed images near the end of the movie as proof.

I suggest you watch the movie in the smaller format. I uploaded it as a WMV file, which looses a lot of its quality in the larger format. Youtube suggests Mpeg-4 movie formats but my current version of Vegas does not support it.

Enjoy the movie

Voice Recording

Daniel and Jeffry came to my appartment yesterday evening to record the lines for the Foxhole. Daniel is collegue at work and Jeffry is a former work-collegue. We met out of a shared interest for making a movie.

That was almost two years ago. I decided to write the script and we met from time to time to discuss what we could do. Unfortunetaly our plans did not take into account that we lacked the connections to make a movie (At that time we did not know any director, actors and our equipment consisted out of a simple handcamera). Needless to say, we talked the talk but did not walk the walk.

But as I came into contact with machinima, I got the idea that we did not need camera's, actors, directors etc. A simple computer and a game like The Movies could suffice. Hence came the idea to film the Foxhole. The script is ideal, since it only has three speaking roles, contains some action and should be feasable in the movies.

I had already experience in making movies in Lomac (my next movie will be posted within days) so I will take the first rough editing for me while Daniel and Jeffry provided the voices for the two main characters.

So in between my regular stories, I will now also post updates on our movie-making experience.

By the way, Daniel now has contacts in the movie-industry through his work for Razorreel.

Have a nice read (and watch)
