WOE:BC Update 6
NATO has been finished! I have added the last squadrons for the Dutch Air Force (NF-5A's and F-16's) and can finally start adding the bad guys.
Add ing Soivet aircraft to the campaign is much more easier then adding NATO fighters. That's because I no longer have create hangar or loading screens. Most of the time its pretty straightforward: download the aircraft, paste it into WOE, add campaign entries and voila another Ruski added.
However I have decided to make life a bit more difficult (and in return have a much more enjoyable campaign) by allowing soviet fighters to perform missions for which they were not always designed. i.e. the Mig-29A I downloaded from CombatAce had no Air to ground weapons. So I made the necessary changes to the various ini files and now the Mig-29 can also appear as a ground attacker. The aircraft is deployed in the air to air role most of the time, but there is always the slight change the player has to intercept Mig-29's head for that friendly tank column.
I intend to do the same thing for all NATO (flyable) aircraft. So that just when the player thought he got used to flying the same old A2G or A2A missions he suddenly gets a more difficult request like intercepting Mig-29's with an F-104G.
Happy Flying
